Steve Walters was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1990. At this time he married his wife Lisa and began his professional career at Price Waterhouse as a staff auditor. He later went on to found Caribbean Crème, Inc. in 1992 and met great success. His company was the first to introduce high-quality frozen smoothies to the convenience store industry. Since its inception, Caribbean Crème proudly manufactured their various flavors in house. Steve’s duties included oversight of all accounting functions as well as managing the national sales and marketing divisions. Upon the sale of the business in September of 2016, Caribbean Crème was selling to convenience stores in a 35-state region. Looking to enter into new ventures, Steve started CFO Accounting & Business Solutions, LLC in January of 2017. Shortly thereafter, Steve joined Equis as CFO. Having experience managing his own company for 25+ years, Steve is proactively streamlining Equis’ financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Steve currently resides in Webster Groves with his wife and dog Lyla, which they adore. He and Lisa are passionate about snow skiing, traveling, and spending time with their two sons Nicholas and Brendan. Nick graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2017 and subsequently began his career at JP Morgan in Ohio. Brendan is still completing his studies at the same institution. On evenings and weekends Steve keeps busy as the Assistant Coach for the Varsity Ice Hockey team at St. Louis University High.
